Recombinant Migfilin-1 / FBLIM1 [FBLIM1/8189R]

Clear

Summary

Kindlin-2 (also known as Mig-2, Migfilin) is an important component of cell-extracellular matrix adhesion. Kindlin-2 binds integrins and is involved in ECM adhesion, actin assembly and cell shape modulation. This monoclonal antibody recognizes kindlin-2 in multiple assays including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemical and immunofluorescent staining.

Functions

  • Serves as an anchoring site for cell-ECM adhesion proteins and filamin-containing actin filaments. Is implicated in cell shape modulation (spreading) and motility. May participate in the regulation of filamin-mediated cross-linking and stabilization of actin filaments. May also regulate the assembly of filamin-containing signaling complexes that control actin assembly. Promotes dissociation of FLNA from ITGB3 and ITGB7. Promotes activation of integrins and regulates integrin-mediated cell-cell adhesion.

Known Applications & Suggested Dilutions

  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT),(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95&degC followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes),Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
